I've only lived in Grand Junction since this past summer, so I'm still exploring and trying new restaurants constantly. And this weekend I discovered quite the affordable, and delicious Asian buffet called The Grand International Buffet.

Located at 2504 Highway 6 and 50, The Grand International Buffet is a must-try for fans of Asian food. While the outside of the restaurant is pretty non-descript, upon entering you are greeted with a giant gold dragon at the helm of a ship.

The Grand International buffet has pretty much every type of Chinese food you can imagine, as well as desserts, some American food items such as pizza, and even sushi. Now, there aren't a ton of different types of sushi, but at a very reasonable price it's hard to imagine that a food item as fancy as sushi would be available at a buffet, but there is a tip jar at the sushi counter.

So, just how reasonable is the price? We went on Saturday during the day and with two buffets and one beer, the bill was only about $25. Oh, and they do serve beer. And not just your typical domestics, but as with many sushi restaurants they serve the perfect pairing with the raw fish item, the Japanese Sapporo. Some other notable food items include stuffed shrimp, sweet and sour chicken and pretty much my favorite soup on the planet, hot and sour.

If you have friends and/or family visiting from out of town for the holidays and want to take them out for a reasonable meal, I highly recommend The Grand International Buffet.
