First National Bank of the Rockies sent me an email warning of a local phone scam you need to know about! Get the details here.

First rule of fraud prevention:

  1. NEVER give your debit/credit card number to someone who calls you!

That being said, my bank just sent me a warning of a phone scam that's going on in our area.

What happens is,

  1. You receive a phone call from an automated dialing system saying they work with First National Bank of the Rockies.
  2. They indicate that your debit card has been deactivated and instruct you to enter your card number to reactivate it.

According to FNBR,

THIS IS A SCAM; DO NOT RESPOND TO IT.

Have you ever been a victim of fraud? Tell us about it in the comment section below and we could feature you on air!
