The Colorado Department of Military and Veterans Affairs hopes to give veterans living in Grand Junction a one-stop shop, which would include medical help and assist in finding areas to live, just to list a few.

They are hoping to convert an empty building and model it similar to a place in Denver. They believe putting one in Grand Junction would be a good asset for the veterans here in the Western Slope.

The Colorado Department of Military and Veterans Affairs has found almost 50 associations who want to be part of this center. These associations vary from government agencies to non-profits.

According to the Daily Sentinel, there is a $2.7 million need to renovate this building. If they don't receive the funds this year, they are going to fight for this building next year.
