Grand Junction Lions Club Parade and Carnival Is This Weekend
The Grand Junction Lions Club is having their 88th annual Parade, beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Main Street in Downtown Grand Junction and Carnival, which begins at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017. This year’s theme is Legends and Legacies.
This year the Lions Club will be helping out New Emerson Elementary, Kids Aid, District 51 Foundation, Loma Elementary, Harmony Acres Equestrian, Fruita Monument High School Girls Basketball, Pomona Elementary, Bookcliff Middle School, Clifton Food Bank, East Middle School, Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Bank, GJ Fire Soccer, Strive, Grand Mesa Middle School, Western Slope Center for Children, Palisade High School Drama Department, Grand Junction High School Girls Softball, and the development of Los Colonias Park.
You can purchase raffle tickets from any Lions Club member or visit the GJ Lions Club website or just get them at the door. They come in books of $20, $25, $50, $100, and $250. You can also follow them on Facebook and Twitter.
This is always a great time for the entire family and you will be helping out great non-profit organizations right here in the Grand Valley.
