Take time to join the Grand Junction Fire Department as they offer a free compression only CPR class to the public.

Compression only or Cardiocerebral Resuscitation, is a method of CPR involving only compressions with no attempt at mouth to mouth contact.

This method is the preferred course of action for people who are untrained in standard first responder techniques. In other words, people like most of us, who have zero first aid type training.

According to this article, it states that in most cases the compression only CPR method has a higher success rate than the standard technique. Now, thanks to the Grand Junction Fire Department, that information and training is free. What a great time to take advantage of this opportunity.

Head to the Grand Junction Fire Department website to find out more information on where and when these free classes will take place.
