This living room remodel is currently underway in Grand Junction. Is it just me, or does the motif have a certain Western Colorado flair?

That wallpaper is very unique. As a matter of fact, I'm not familiar with wallpaper that comes in small rectangular shapes. It must be something new.

Unless I'm mistaken, those panels look very much like the label from a bottle of Dirty Hippie beer. As a matter of fact, I'm sure of it.

Hanging a Budweiser sign in your room is one thing. Wallpapering your living room with Dirty Hippie labels is another. Does this signify a new trend in home decor for Western Colorado?

With the Dirty Hippie label's use of yellows and greens, along with the precise geometric shapes, one has to wonder if this isn't a contemporary example of Art Deco. According to Google, Art Deco is characterized by "sleek geometric or stylized forms and by the use of man-made materials."

Cubist paintings by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque reduced three-dimensional objects to flat, geometric forms; the Dutch architecture and design faction De Stijl, exemplified by Piet Mondrian and Gerrit Rietveld, touted a simplified aesthetic. - artsy.net

Whatever this Dirty Hippie style is, I like it. How it came to be is a mystery. The person in the photo above is a master craftsman in anyone's book. His family's architecture and decorative design can be spotted in some of the best neighborhoods in Grand Junction.

While it's uncertain as to whether this signifies a new trend in interior design, or simply reflects a fan's devotion to a beer, it seems this project is taking on a life of its own. Smart money says you'll see more examples of this concept in the near future.
