Where has the latest Grand Junction crime taken place? Check out this map.

It's a website called Spotcrime.com. As far as I can tell, it seems to be a legitimate operation.

The website states that it receives its crime information from news sources, police departments and what they refer to as 'user-generated content.' Spotcrime.com maps out several different types of crimes including:

  • vandalism
  • theft
  • arson
  • assault
  • burglary
  • robbery
  • arrest
  • shooting

You can also sign up to receive crime alerts and updates from them.

It's one thing to hear about crimes, but to see where they take place and when definitely makes it more real. Check out your neighborhood to see what's happened lately.

Spotcrime.com does have a disclaimer. And as I mentioned before, I am not 100 percent sure this information is 100 percent accurate. This is from their site:
