Many of you consider the kitchen to be the best room in your home. According to MyMove.com:

They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home. And we have to believe it’s true. Whether small or large, the kitchen is the hub of the home. It is where the meals are created – it fuels the bodies, minds and souls of friends and families all over the world.

Wow, that's profound. My kitchen functions as a place where I grab a plate so I can go to the living room and enjoy my pizza in front of the TV. That's about all the kitchen is good for.

The house I grew up in was designed and built by my dad back in 1971. The kitchen wasn't the hub of the house. The kitchen was an area roughly 25 square feet where a person could stand in one spot and yet reach every appliance, cabinet, or counter.

This Popular Magazine Disagrees With All of Us

Realtor Magazine says none of us know what we're talking about. According to Realtor Magazine, "In a survey of more than 2,000 Americans, the new favorite room in the home: the master bedroom. In the survey, conducted by Ally Home, some respondents said it’s their new favorite spot because it’s where “they can hide from family members.”
