Grand Junction Man Arrested for Child Sex Crimes Facing 21 Felony Charges
A Grand Junction man is facing 21 felony charges stemming from alleged sex crimes against a child.
The Mesa County Sheriff's Office obtained and executed an arrest warrant for 59-year-old John Frank Martinez, Jr. Monday night (January 15). Martinez faces felony charges for unlawful sexual acts with a child that started in 2009 and continued until December of 2017.
Martinez was arrested and is being charged with 21 Class 3 Felonies:
- 7 counts of Sexual Assault on a Child by one in a Position of Trust, Pattern of abuse.
- 7 counts of Sexual Assault on a Child, Pattern of Abuse
- 7 counts of Aggravated Incest

Martinez is currently in the Mesa County Jail on a No Bond Hold. The Sheriff's Office says the case is still under investigation.
