Back in December, it was announced that the Grand Junction Airport was looking to replace outgoing Subway with a new food vendor.

Well, they have found one. We did a post and a poll on this a couple of months ago. Click here to look back at what we had talked about. Jimmy John's, Subway and Arby's led in the results. However, the airport went a different route.

It has been reported by KKCO News that a company called Tailwind Concessions has won the coveted spot. This particular company does already have space in a few regional airports and is now adding Grand Junction to that list.

According to the report, a full renovation will be done by May, so for right now there are only pre-made sandwiches and salads that are stored in a refrigerator. But, when the new space opens, it will contain two bars and a grill. Which will make burgers and wraps available and then added to the menu.
