GJ Musician to be a Presenter at Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony
A former Grand Junction resident and CMU graduate will be a presenter at the upcoming Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony.
Kalani Pe’a has earned a nomination at the 61st annual Grammy Awards. His sophomore release, titled “No ‘Ane’i” (We Belong Here), is nominated for the 61st annual Grammy Awards under the Best Regional Roots Music Album category. This nomination comes two years after a Grammy win for Best Roots Album.
Pe'a, a native of Hawaii, attended CMU (at that time, still Mesa State College) from 2001 to 2007, receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications.

The Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony takes place Sunday, February 10, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. The event will stream live from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pacific Time at GRAMMY.com. The show will be hosted by current nominee Shaggy.
