According to the Grand Junction Police Department a 2nd arrest has been made in connection with the shooting on Glen Rd. on February 16, 2013.

47-year-old Michael Joseph Renteria Sr., the father of the first suspect arrested in this case, is in the Mesa County Jail. His charges include complicity in the attempted murder of Frank Rodriguez, who was shot during the altercation, as well as felony assault, burglary and menacing charges, among others.

At this point in the investigation we believe Renteria Sr. was armed with a bat, and went to the house on Glen Rd. with Michael Joseph Renteria Jr. and a third person. While they were there, Renteria Sr. assaulted three people with the bat, while Renteria Jr. shot Frank Rodriguez.
