Fruita Bus Driver Learns The Hard way

Did you hear about the woman in Fruita who crashed her SUV then apparently lied to get an on a school bus by saying she was a bus trainee? I guess school buses are not allowed to let adults on the school buses.

But what if the woman was hurt or needed help desperately. I suppose the bus driver could have called 911 and told the woman to wait if she was not hurt. But the bus driver let her on and now both are in trouble.

Mesa County School District says only authorized adults are permitted on buses, such as drivers, school staff and registered volunteers. The bus company, Student Transportation of America, says it suspended the driver for allowing the woman to board the bus. The woman was also arrested at the Fruita Monument High School.
