Florida Georgia Line Notch 14th No. 1 Single With ‘Meant to Be’
Florida Georgia Line are familiar with the top of the charts. "Meant to Be," their collaboration with Bebe Rexha, is at No. 1 on both the Billboard and Country Aircheck Airplay charts, marking their fourteenth No. 1 single.
“From day one, this song was just meant to be,” FGL's Tyler Hubbard says in a press release. “Bebe jumped in on a canceled writing session last minute and now it’s going down in history.”
"Meant to Be" was written by Hubbard and Rexha alongside Josh Miller and David Garcia.

“It’s been nothing but good vibes to see it take off and inspire," bandmate Brian Kelley adds. "Its message is a positive one and why I think it’s connecting with those who hear it. We can’t thank country radio enough for all of the support.”
In addition to being No. 1 on both charts, "Meant to Be" is No. 1 for the 21st consecutive week on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. This success gives Florida Georgia Line two of the three longest No. 1 songs in chart history. Their previous hit, 2002's "Cruise," spent 24 weeks atop the chart, while Sam Hunt's "Body Like a Back Road" currently holds the No. 1 position for an impressive 34 weeks at No. 1.
Rexha previously shared that she feels much love and acceptance from the country community for the way they embraced her song.
“Here I am this girl that grows up in the pop world, and I write a song with Florida Georgia Line and it’s one of the biggest songs I’ve put out in my life,” she says (quote via Nash Country Daily). “And I think it’s just a record that was honest and true. And I think that people really connected with it on a deeper level."
