While western Colorado is in desperate need of rain, recent monsoon rains rushed through the Durango area near the 416 wildfire burn scar.

According to the Durango Herald, water rushed around local businesses, a Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad was cut short and massive flash floods raged through the area.

One Durango resident caught the flash flooding from her apartment.

Another Durango resident caught this flash flood in their front yard.

The rains closed down Highway 550, County Road 250, County Road 250C and County Road 203.
