Five Reasons to Catch Grand Junction’s Free Easter Concert
This Easter Sunday, get the family together and attend a free concert presented by the Messiah Choral Society of Grand Junction. The program features one of the greatest masterpieces of all time, Handel's Messiah.
Dozens of local music lovers have worked year-round to put this one concert together, and you owe it to yourself to attend. Here are five reasons why you dare not miss this show.
The Messiah Choral Society of Grand Junction puts on this free concert every Easter. This year, the concert will be held Easter Sunday, April 1, at 2:30 p.m., at the Grand Junction High School Auditorium.
This year, former Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Carlos Elias will return to lead the orchestra. Scott Betts also returns to conduct the concert.
So, why exactly should you attend? Here are the top five reasons why:

There's a new feature to this year's presentation. Let's say you are unable to attend the concert on Sunday. You can attend the dress rehearsal at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 31 at Grand Junction High School Auditorium. There is a charge to attend the dress rehearsal - $5 per person.
This concert is not to be missed. Your friends and neighbors from right here in Western Colorado have come together to offer this musical gift to the community. Again, the concert is absolutely free, and no tickets are required.
