So what the heck is a Crevice Garden? The Mesa County Library will be holding a presentation on building a Crevice Garden on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.

Crevice Gardens, sometimes called rock gardening, started in Eastern Europe with the people of the Czech Republic. It involves placing flat rocks vertically in the soil or a hillside and placing small plants that are found in the mountains or arid locations in between them to create colorful miniature landscape.

The Mesa County Central Library is hosting Grand Junction's own Kenton Seth, who creates Crevice Gardens professionally. The gardens are perfectly suited for the dry regions of the Western Slope.

This seminar is open to everyone that has an interest in gardening and is free to attend. For more information, visit the Mesa County Libraries website or call 970-243-4442.
