Fake, or counterfeit money, has been spotted in Fruita.

The Fruita Police Department has reported that several area business have had this 'fake' cash come through their doors. The past couple of months, police have discovered that these counterfeit bills range from $10 to $100.

There are several factors that may lead you to believe that a bill is not real. It may feel different, color could be off a bit or simply a gut feeling.
