Equal Pay Will Become Law January 1st 2021

It is called the Equal Pay for Equal work act.  The bill would make it illegal to retaliate against an employee seeking equal pay as stated by the bill against an employer.

This new law will take Jan. 1, 2021 this will give everyone enough time to right there wrongs.

Equal pay for equal work is the law.  According to labor statistics women get paid around 80 cents for every dollar a man makes in Colorado. and for minority women, it is even worse. If you find out you are getting paid less than your male co-worker doing the same job you are you can now take them to court.

This bill would make it illegal to discriminate based on gender. There have been many times that women do not get paid as much as a man in the same position. I have a friend who was a manager and she was paid about 50 percent less than her male counterpart in the same position.
