End of Summer Things to Do in Colorado
There's not much left of summer, so if you still haven't done some or all of these things, you better get busy.
There are so many vineyards around you could take an entire weekend and not see them all. And don't forget to check out the fruit orchards as well. The weather will be a little cooler and not as difficult to enjoy. Head to Cedaredge or Palisade and get started.
Take the Minturn exit and follow the road to the Shrine Mountain trail. While on the trail you will have an excellent view of the Mount of the Holy Cross as well as the Gore Range and other amazing beautiful places. Plus with the colors starting to change, you will get an extra dose of beauty handed to you.
End of summer is the perfect time to visit. The falls are running full, the trees are beautiful and all around you can just feel the early onset of fall. The three 80 foot tall waterfalls, the limestone caves and more await you.
A Concert at Red Rocks
No summer can be considered complete until you have seen at least one show at Red Rocks. Rascal Flatts and Lyle Lovette are examples of upcoming shows you really should see.
Catch a Colorado Rockies Game
As the boys of summer battle for the division and a spot in the playoffs, you can join in the fun and cheer them on to victory.
Get out there and enjoy what there is left of summer, fall isn't far away.
