End 2017 With a New Job With the City of Grand Junction

Okay, no one said these jobs would be easy. This one is a tuffy, but many people find it very rewarding. Qualifications include:

• High School graduation or equivalent
• Good moral character
• Type 3,000 kph (50 wpm)
• Ability to work varying shifts, including day, swing, graveyard, and holidays and weekends as assigned
• Ability to work required overtime when necessary

This opportunity comes up every month with Grand Junction. Qualifications needed include:

• Complete city application
• Complete drug screen and background check
• Identification and proof of employment eligibiliity

Have you considered law enforcement? Are you currently working in the field but living outside of Grand Junction? Transfer opportunities are available. Qualifications include:

• Good physical condition
• Minimum of 21 years of age, as of date of hire
• Minimum vision corrected to 20/40 in worst eye and 20/20 in best eye
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, valid Colorado driver license
• Good moral character (past criminal activity may be disqualifying – see list)
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Duties include public safety and security services such as foot patrol, routine checks at residents hall, building security checks, special event security, general crime prevention, and filling out reports.
