Elitch Gardens in Denver has been closed for almost a year now due to COVID-19. Elitch Gardens has recently announced that they plan to reopen soon for the 2021 season.

Elitch Gardens has been a part of Colorado since 1890 when it opened up as a zoo. It's had a lot of changes since then such as the addition of the Trocadero Ballroom, the hand carve carousel, moving locations, and more.

According to The Denver Post, Elitch Gardens is planning to open to the public on May 1, 2021, and season pass holders on April 24, 2021. The Colorado theme park will implement sanitation protocols, social distancing, and more to keep everyone safe.

You can keep your 2020 VIP Season Pass and use it for the 2021 season or you can hold onto it and use it for the 2022 season at Elitch Gardens. According to The Denver Post, all 2020 season and day passes have been transferred to the 2021 season automatically.

Elitch Gardens is planning to open to season pass holders on April 24 and to the public on May 1. The water park will be open to the public on Memorial Day Weekend. There's so much to do at Elitch Gardens like the arcades, the water park, kids' rides, family rides, and thrill rides. (The Boomerang and the Mind Eraser look especially fun.)
