Just a quick reminder that your pets shouldn't eat what you eat from the Thanksgiving Day table.

It might seem quick and fun to feed your cats and dogs scraps from your holiday feast, but it can be dangerous. Experts are telling us that we should stick to the normal feeding patterns and routine as always even though you may want your pets to share in the festive mood.

Here is a list of items to NOT feed your cats and dogs:

  • Fruits with pits (cherries)
  • Grapes/raisins
  • Avocado
  • Mushrooms
  • Salt
  • Sushi (raw fish)
  • Eggs
  • Nuts
  • Garlic and onions
  • Fat trimmings and bones
  • Chicken/turkey skin
  • Fatty foods
  • Chocolate

Realistically, there a bunch of items on that list that we humans shouldn't be eating! Ha ha. Remember, your pets don't know it's Thanksgiving, nor do they care. Keep them safe and healthy.
