Do You Think the NYC Marathon Should Be Canceled? [POLL]

After Hurricane Sandy destroyed New York and left many people with out homes or electricity, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg still wants the NYC Marathon to go on. What do you think?

The argument is that the NYC Marathon could bring over $10 million to the economy and help out the people and businesses that were destroyed in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Runners will even have a chance to donate an additional amount and even volunteer.The biggest reason they think it should go on is that it will lift New Yorkers spirits knowing life can go on some what normally.

The other side of the argument is that it will take away personnel helping families find a place to stay, giving out food, or whatever it is they are needed for. They will be blocking off roads, they will have medical staff on hand in case a runner cramps up. Some think that this is taking away resources that need to be used to help NYC get out of the destruction. Even hotels are booked because of all the marathoners coming in town, and people from NYC that are homeless can't find places to stay.
