The debate continues. Shopping on Thanksgiving Day and taking advantage of great deals versus supporting the worker and not shop?

I can see both sides of this debate. I've worked in radio and in the service industry since I was 16 years old and I've had to work many Thanksgivings. Since it's considered a holiday, I received time and a half pay.

I also see it from the employers stand point. If you're open, chances are you're going to bring in revenue. When your business is closed, you make nothing.

But for the employee who do not want to work on Thanksgiving Day and want to spend the day with their family, I can understand that too.

And what about those sales? My gosh. Some of the markdowns on electronic items are unbelievable. Thanksgiving Day sales can be well worth it.
