Butterball hotline has had some interesting questions asked, for instance, a man with a chainsaw cut his turkey in half and asked if the oil from the chainsaw would affect the taste of the turkey.

Another person called the hotline and asked if a turkey could slow cook over four days because her daughter loved the smell of turkey. Of course, the answer is no; a turkey is meant to cook for only a few hours depending on the size. One man found a turkey in his Dad's freezer from 1969 and asked if it was okay to cook it still. He was advised to buy another turkey.

You probably don't want to thaw your turkey in the bathtub or sauna or put it in a washing machine.
