Details Emerge About the Woman Shooter at the White House

We were all on edge yesterday waiting for details about the shots that had been fired at the capitol. We were even more shocked to discover that a kids was with the suspect.

I have seen details on every media outlet about the situation yesterday that ended in tragedy when the female suspect was shot and killed, expect the one detail I want to KNOW -- What about the kid?!

Miriam Carey's mother told ABC News that she could not believe her daughter would do something like this, stating:

"...I would never in a million years believe that she would do something like this..."

She also stated that her daughter suffered from postpartum depression after the birth of her one-year-old child.

Another thing that amazes me is that the Park Police that responded aren't even being PAID right now due to the government shutdown!

You can see police in the above photo surrounding the suspects car, and all I can think when I look at is, Praise the Lord the CHILD wasn't injured when her mom was shot.

Thankfully the one-year-old girl was safely taken away by police, and is in protective custody.

Maybe it's just me, but I bet if the Park Police had not been on hand due to the shutdown Congress would've stopped bickering and got something done! But probably not.

A woman named Patty Bills who works at an outreach group located near the Capitol, and witnessed the shooting and took this video.
