The R&R Market opened its doors back in 1857, and it's doors are still open today. That's 160 years of doing business. Now, it is up for sale.

Located in the southern Colorado town of San Luis, about 20 miles from the New Mexico border, this establishment is the state's oldest operating business. But, it may not be open for much longer.

The current owner, Felix Romero, who is the great, great-grandson of the original owner said that after 48 years he and his wife want to retire. However, they are having difficulty finding a relative to take over the day to day operations of the market. Romero believes that is important because the business has always stayed in the family.

If a relative cannot be found, Romero said that he would consider selling to an outside buyer. He is optimistic that the right person will come along.
