Let's be honest. We all do this while driving the interstate, but that doesn't make it right.

The Colorado State Patrol recently shared this video explaining the difference between the right lane and the left lane.

To be clear, the right lane it the through lane. This is the lane you should spend most of your time.

When you move to the left lane, you should be "actively" passing the cars in the right lane. You should also move to the left lane, and slow down when a vehicle is pulled over on the right shoulder.

I'll admit. I've driven all over this country and the western states follow the passing law a bit better than the midwestern states. In those states, people use the left lane all willy-nilly causing extreme road rage.

As the trooper asks in this video, "are we all on the same page?" Well, are we?!
