It does not feel like the holiday season is officially underway until our phone at the radio station rings here with news that our local scouts have opened their Christmas Tree lot. This year, you can find Scout Troop 353’s tree lot at Meadowlark Garden Center, located in the Redlands area, at the roundabout at Redlands Parkway and Broadway (Hwy 340). Every dollar raised by the scouts funds their summer camps, outdoor trips, uniforms, and equipment so that these costs are not passed on to families on tight budgets.
What’s Available & When to Go
Once on the lot, you will see a wide variety of small to large trees. Some are perfect for a cozy apartment, and others are larger for show-stopping living room settings. Holiday wreaths and seasonal items are also available. The tree lot is open on weekends from 10 AM to 8 PM. During the week, you can stop by and shop from 5 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The lot is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Why Buying Here Matters for Our Community
Purchasing a tree from Troop 353 means much more than simply decking the halls – you are helping our local kids grow. The scouts do more than work the Christmas Tree lot; they run the entire operation. From setup to loading the trees and wreaths, they manage the operation and absorb hands-on experience, which improves teamwork and real-world skills. Your purchase remains an important part of the next year for these hard-working kids, their troop leaders, and volunteers.
