Fruita, Colorado, is just days away from hosting its first-ever Monumental Lights Gala. While many have dreamed of what it would be like to enjoy a restaurant atop the monument, this event promises to come pretty close.

The Gala will be held at Monument Vista Place (Broadway) and will feature music from the Mesa Winds Quintet of the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra. Keep reading to see who’s behind the menu—and how you can still snag tickets if you hurry.

The chance to enjoy a cocktail attire dinner beneath the Colorado National Monument is a great reason to buy a ticket. However, the Fruita Foundation invites those who want to invest in the city's long-term success to purchase tickets and engage community leaders and fellow attendees.

Proceeds from the evening will help fund unique educational initiatives that highlight Fruita’s Colorado heritage and youth engagement, and fund small business grants.

The Mesa Winds Quintet plays throughout the event and includes flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn. A shared ticket costs $100 and covers admission for two adults, a gourmet Italian pasta bar by Berna B’s Classic Cuisine, a commemorative glass, and a complimentary beverage.

Tickets & What's Included

It sounds like the Fruita Foundation (Fruita Area Chamber Foundation) has a truly unique evening planned, and if you act fast, you can still purchase tickets here. Monumental Lights will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the first Friday in September. Imagine enjoying a meal with friends and neighbors as the sunset bounces off the monument. Sounds like another great example of cool things you can only do here in the Fruita/Grand Junction area.
