Animals such as deer, elk, and wild turkeys are commonly spotted on trails throughout Colorado, but a recent wildlife sighting at Mount Falcon Park had visitors scratching their heads.

On Tuesday (December 14), seven different park-goers reported seeing a pig running loose in the western area of the Jefferson County open space.

Although Colorado does have an abundance of different species of wildlife, that does not include wild pigs. According to one of the park rangers who was working the case that day, at least half of the visitors that called to report the sighting questioned whether or not they wildly roam within the state.

Ranger Jason says the missing swine was last seen in the area of Tower Trail and Meadow Trail. Anyone who finds the pig, or knows who it belongs to should contact Jefferson County Animal County at 303-271-5070.
