Halloween will soon be arriving on Colorado’s Western Slope. Families are ready for glowing pumpkins and looking for safe, easy, trick-or-treat fun without long walks on dark streets.

From Grand Junction to Montrose, there are plenty of spots to park the car, grab a bag, and let the kids enjoy some trunk-or-treat fun at the following free events on the Western Slope.

🎃 Grand Valley Auto Sales Trunk or Treat: 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at 2465 Hwy 6 & 50.

🎃 Salvation Army Trunk or Treat: Games, Candy, Popcorn. 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. 1235 N 4th St.

🎃 3rd Annual Trick or Treat: Christian Science Church & Reading Room 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 839 Grand Ave.

🎃 6th Annual Candy CatchGrand Mesa Shelter at Long's Family Park, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. 3118 E 1/2 Rd.

Delta: Main Street Trick or Treat Tradition

Delta, Colorado’s popular Main Street Trick or Treat returns to the heart of town on October 31. The fun starts early for the little ones with trick-or-treating for kids under 5 beginning at 2 p.m. Kids five and up can start at 3 p.m. Local businesses, police, and the fire department will make downtown Delta one of the safest and spirited Halloween options for families.

Montrose: Family Fun Across Town

Montrose has two can’t-miss events this Halloween. The Downtown Candy Crawl runs 3 to 6 p.m., with Main Street closed for kids to explore decorated vehicles and grab treats from more than 20 businesses.

Later in the evening, Slow Culture’s Trunk or Treat at 1436 Encanto Place adds a cool, car-themed twist with custom vehicles, candy, and music from 5 to 8 p.m.
