Volunteering to serve on a city board or commission means advising Grand Junction leaders on policies, projects, and various town priorities. These groups often work in sectors like parks, housing, historic preservation, and trails.   • Downtown Development Authority / BID (Due February 28)
    Help guide economic development and revitalization efforts in downtown Grand Junction, including business support, beautification, and long-term planning for the city’s core district.
  • Judicial Performance Commission (Open)
    Serve on a citizen panel that evaluates local judges and provides feedback on their performance, helping ensure fairness, accountability, and public trust in the judicial system.
  • One Riverfront (Due before April 14)
    Support the planning and improvement of riverfront areas along the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers, helping shape trails, recreation access, and conservation efforts.
  • Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee (Due March 24)
    Advise city leaders on parks, recreation programs, open space planning, and facility improvements that impact families and outdoor enthusiasts across Grand Junction.
  • Urban Trails Committee (Due February 27)
