Meet Exploremores — And the Meaning Behind the Name

Will 2026 feature an Exploremores takeover in Colorado? The sandwich cookie is a Rocky Mountain dream with chocolate, marshmallow, and toasted almond-flavored crème, inspired by Rocky Road ice cream. The name pays homage to the Girl Scouts’ mission of exploration, outdoor adventure, and curiosity. Exploremores will replace a couple of retired favorites like Toast-Yay! and S’mores.

Nationally, America’s best-selling Girl Scout cookie is Thin Mints. These cookies are also the top-selling cookies here in Colorado, with Samoas a close second. Will the new cookie, Exploremores, influence buying habits this year? Girl Scouts are counting on young customers and first-time buyers to eat them up.
