Colorado Mesa University’s Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Darin Kamstra, will be attending the annual Colorado Music Educators Association Conference in Colorado Springs January 24-26th. The Jazz Ensemble will feature CMU Music faculty Tim Emmons, Sean Flanigan and Jonathan Hinkle. In addition to the CMEA performance, the Jazz Ensemble will be touring Colorado high schools on their way to the conference.

This tour will make for a busy weekend for Dr. Flanigan, who will also be directing the Colorado Small School All State Jazz Band at the conference.

The Colorado Music Educators Association is composed of music faculty and
education majors from colleges, universities and public schools from eight
regions in the state. Its mission is to provide growth opportunities to music
educators of all experience levels.
