This week's Country Shootout theme is female country singers. We will have female country singers who are still touring and are still making music go head to head. Keep in mind we can't do all the female country artist in one week. Today's Country Shootout is Carrie Underwood vs. Faith Hill.

Carrie Underwood recently won a Grammy for Country Solo Performance with 'Blown Away', and is now a recipient of 6 Grammy Awards. .Carrie rose to fame after the 2005 season of American Idol. She became a member of the Grand Ole Opry in 2008, and became a member of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2009. Worldwide, Underwood has sold over 27 million singles and more than 15 million albums.

Faith Hill has sold over 40 million records and has eight number one hits. In 2009 Billboard named her as the No. 1 Adult Contemporary artist of the decade 2000–2009. She has been named the top "30 Most Powerful Women in America" according to Ladies Home Journal. Married to Tim McGraw, they went on tour with the Soul2Soul II Tour in 2006 and became the highest grossing country tour of all time. Faith Hill has done just about everything that can be done by a female country artist.
