Memorial Day is coming up this Monday and I thought it would be fitting to feature the Best Memorial Day songs in the Country Shootout this week. There are plenty of songs that fit in this category, but I'm going to pick my top 6 and have you vote on them. This week we will feature artist like Toby Keith, Aaron Tippin, Rodney Atkins, Johnny Cash, John Michael Montgomery and Tim McGraw. Today Toby Keith will go up against Rodney Atkins.

Toby Keith released 'American Soldier' back in 2003 and instantly became a #1 hit. This song is about a man who is just trying to be a good father to his son and daughter, a good husband to his wife, and still strap on his boots and serve his country. I think this song shows ultimate respect to those that serve our country.
