When planning a camping trip there are many things we all like to take, think we need, or just plain have to have (even if we don't), but this is the one item none of us can do without. . . can you guess what it is?

My family and I went camping above Mud Springs for Memorial Day weekend and had a "blast-off" as my niece would say.

I would have to agree with her! This trip went so well. . . from finding a 5 point elk shed the first day we were there, to being surrounded by my family and friends, to perfect weather, & a perfect location-I didn't think it could have gotten any better!

But then my hubby set up the "Outhouse":

I know this is a sensitive subject, but we all do it and we all have to find a place to do it when we camp. Right?!

if you're like me it's normally just behind a well placed bush or rock, but this year my hubby gave all the ladies camping with a us a HUGE gift by building us a temporary place to poo!

As you can see all you need is a tarp, a bucket with the bottom cut out of it and an old toilet seat!

Depending on how many people use it you may need to move it to a new location every couple of days.

The bucket is of course going to be nasty when you pack up to leave so I recommend either packing it in a HUGE trash bag or lining it with a trash bag from the get go so it doesn't get gross.
