"Do you have any boutiques in Grand Junction?"

I remember that being one of my first questions when I arrived here in June.

My male boss shrugged his shoulders and said, "I don't know, but downtown Grand Junction has some pretty cool places, you should walk down there and go check it out."

Later that night I did just that. I was thrilled to find one of the coolest boutiques called "My Generation." My first shop in Grand Junction.

Last night I was walking by My Generation and was in disbelief when I saw signs on the window, such as; "blow out sale," "everything must go," "available for lease."

NO! Wait ... What? It can't close. I love this shop. Come on now. Soon as I got the chance I ran over to the boutique and talked to the owner Ashleigh Perri.

Before the door could even shut behind me I immediately started asking Ashleigh questions. With an intense voice, I raise my voice in desperation, "please tell me you're just moving, that you're not closing for good?"

Ashleigh being so kind and sweet tells me that they are not going away, they're just moving everything online. Whew.

My Generation will be closing their doors on Main and will be clearing out as soon as the leasing office finds a new tenant.

Sad to see them leave Main Street, but thankful to know shopping online is just a click away.
