When it comes to resort ranches in Colorado, Beaver Meadows in Red Feather Lakes is one of the best and most popular. The ranch dates back to the 1950's and 1960's and has been a destination for thousands.

The now former owning family of Beaver Meadows owned the ranch since 1976; now, they've decided that the time is right to let new ownership take over. Who are they?

Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch dates back to when it was the Painted Post Guest Ranch in the 1950s and 1960s. It was in 1976, when, Don and Diane Weixelman bought the ranch that it became Beaver Meadows.

Beaver Meadows has activities throughout the year, including fishing (with tours), horseback riding (with tours), hiking, hunting, winter tubing, and an 18-hole disc golf course. One summer, friends and I made a big weekend out of staying at the ranch for disc golf, burgers, and fun.

WHO ARE THE NEW OWNERS OF BEAVER MEADOWS?

According to an email/release from Beaver Meadows, the new owners are Sean and Susi Keating, who currently live in Westminster. Sean grew up in Colorado, and together the Keatings have three kids and two granddaughters. You could look at this purchase as not only a business opportunity for them but also a way to semi-retire.

From the release from Linda Weixelman (She and her brother Gary were the latest owners)

Sean & Susi have been in the hospitality world for 35 years as General Managers for different hotel chains including Marriott, Hyatt and Hilton. In 2016 they purchased their first hotel in Estes Park. Currently they are the proud owners of the Aiden by Best Western Denver West hotel in Golden, Colorado.

It has been their dream to purchase a mountain ranch resort where they can enjoy the outdoors and retire someday. They found Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch in March and fell in love with the property & the community. Their goal is to carry on the legacy of the property and the Weixelman family. The Keatings will continue to make Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch a place for families & loved ones creating wonderful memories of a lifetime. By preserving the rich history of the ranch and investing in some improvements, their hope is that Beaver Meadows Resort Ranch will continue to be proud partners in Red Feather Lakes and Northern Colorado community.

It sounds like Beaver Meadows is in good hands; who knows what the next 50 years will hold for the ranch?
