Are the Denver Broncos a Competitor for the AFC Championship? [POLL]
The Denver Broncos are in first place in the AFC West Division with San Diego 2 games back. The Broncos will host the Chargers this weekend which will decide if the Chargers will even have a shot at the AFC West.
The rest of the Broncos season is looking winnable. After the Chargers the Broncos play the 1-7 Chiefs, the 5-4 Buccaneers, the 3-6 Raiders, the Ravens who are 7-2, the 2-7 Cleveland Browns and one last game against the Chiefs to end the season. All of those are winnable games. The toughest of those games is obviously the Ravens. But the Broncos will also have to beat the Buccaneers and the Chargers to prove that they are worthy of AFC Championship talk.
Looking at the rest of the season, if they lose to the Ravens and one other team--Bucs or Chargers-- they will still finish the season 11-5. The Broncos have obviously played their toughest competition earlier in the season with the Texans, Falcons and Pittsburgh.
With the Broncos Defense hitting on all cylinders, and the Broncos Offense looking better every week, there is no reason to think the Broncos can't be a competitor for the AFC Championship. They will have to play better than these possible AFC Playoff teams: Patriots, Steelers, Texans and Ravens.
