Some people would have you believe the practice of adjusting our clocks one hour twice per year is the root of all evil and is to blame for many of the mistakes we make in the days following the time change. Is changing out clocks by one hour really that big of a deal?

Why do we still obverse Daylight Saving Time, you ask? Isn't that something they came up with when people still used coal stoves and kids worked on the farm all day?

Would you believe that Daylight Saving Time has been shown to boost French Fry sales? Ask any restaurant owner and they'll tell you that alone is reason enough to continue observing DST.

Aside from increased French Fry sales, are there any other valid reasons to continue observing this practice? Get a little history on DST, and pick up a few reasons why it is still observed.
