Colorado is one of, if not the most beautiful places on the planet. Tucked away in every corner of the state are beautiful, scenic places we may never see or visit. So allow me to show you a few.

Pearl Lake State Park - Steamboat Springs

Picture yourself camping here along the river's edge. Getting up before the sun. Grabbing your canoe or kayak for a peaceful ride on the glass-like water watching the sun come up. It's just a beautiful and amazing place to be. Just north of Steamboat Springs, right at the base of Hahn's peak is where you will find this gem!

Around ten miles northeast of the town of Creede lies the Wheeler Geologic Area. What makes this place so amazing? It formed millions of years ago through volcanic activity and ash. If you have ever wanted to see what the ocean floor looks like without going under water, this is your place. Beautiful formations amidst the incredible views make this place a definite must see. See Clear Creek Falls too, while you're here!

Dallas Divide-Ridgeway/Telluride

The Dallas Divide, near Telluride, has everything you would hope to find in a hidden Colorado area. Jagged mountain peaks, lush ranch country, and trees and flowers as far as the eye can see. This is a must visit location during fall for the changing trees.

Island Lake-Silverton

Tucked into the San Juan National Forest is Island Lake. Along the way, hikers will see evidence of fortune seekers who had hoped to strike it rich with gold. Mines and equipment that were left abandoned, as was the hope for finding gold for many of the settlers. Don't miss the other lakes, Ice, Clear and Fuller lakes.

The epitome of Colorado beauty, the Maroon Bells/Maroon Lake area is one of those picture postcard scenes you can actually be a part of. Depending on what season you visit, you will be amazed by the rich, vibrant colors and the crystal clear lake that mirrors the scene so beautifully.

There are plenty more where these came from. Send us your favorites and we will include them in future posts!

Have fun and stay safe!
