Rocky Mountain Oysters are considered a Colorado delicacy. Well, delicacy may not be the right word, but this appetizer is home to Colorado.

States all have foods they are known for. Beach states have the best seafood, the south is known for it's fried foods, New York with its pizza, New Mexico has amazing green chili, but what is Colorado known for?

Rocky Mountain Oysters are not fish, as some may think. The common misunderstanding of them being a fish dish is half the reason people try it. This is a fun prank to play on out of towners; wait until after they try one to explain that Rocky Mountain Oysters are actually bull testicles.

That's right. The Colorado delicacy is a bull testicle. This can be attributed to a number of cattle ranching in the state. I hear they're great fried, but I have yet to try one.

Have you ever tried a Rocky Mountain Oyster?
