It won't be long now. Spring is just around the corner and we can already feel it in the air.

So with spring approaching, it's time to start thinking about getting out of the house and reacquainting yourself with the most beautiful state of them all.

Thursday, March 19 marks the beginning of spring so here are some excellent ways to enjoy it.

Glenwood Hot Springs

For many people, this is the first thing they do when spring arrives. Soak in the hot springs pool, tour the vapor caves and more. There are other hot springs around the state to enjoy as well, but you can't go wrong in Glenwood Springs.

Old Colorado City

How about touring this town and check out some buildings that have been standing since the late 1800s. Shopping, art exhibits and more are here for you. You will most likely spend an entire day here before you even realize it.

Ride a Horse

There are riding stables across the state for you to choose from. And if you really want to get all rustic, check out a couple of dude ranches as well. You can herd cattle, maybe take part in a cattle drive, or if you prefer, just sit tall in the saddle and enjoy many trails and areas to explore from the back of a horse.

The Cardboard Classic

Held for the last 40 years in Steamboat Springs, it's a testament to fun and creativity. The vessels made are all made from cardboard, string, glue, paint and hard, yet fun work, all to head down the hell and see if it can survive. Hilarity is assured.

Pints and Pools Craft Beer Festival

A short trip to Pagosa Springs lets you combine two great ways to celebrate spring. Hot Springs pools and cold beer. What better way to relax than spending the day checking out all of the different beer you can try as well as relaxing in one of the many hot springs here. What a great signal that spring is here.

There are, of course, many more than five that you can enjoy, just get out in our beautiful state and have fun!
