25% of Americans Plan to Avoid Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine

It's an interesting conversation that most people have thought about and maybe even talked about with loved ones. If you had the COVID-19 vaccine available to you today, would you take the needle, or are you part of the 1 in 4 Americans that don't want to receive the vaccine at this point?

Everyone has to make this decision for themselves, and you have to do what makes you comfortable. It was KKTV that came out with the details about a poll being done by Monmouth University that asked adults in late January how they felt about the vaccine and if they were planning on getting the vaccine when it became available to them.

According to the results, it was nearly 50% of all people said they would get the vaccine when available, and 19% of people said they wanted to see how others did with their vaccines before deciding to receive the shot themselves. And just about 24% of people said they don't plan on getting the vaccine at all.

The poll results went as far as to reveal that 42% of Republicans and only 10% of Democrats admitted to wanting to avoid the vaccine.

Of those surveyed over the age of 65, 67% of that demographic want to receive the vaccine, and 52% of people under 65 fall under that same category.

As I mentioned above, this is a decision that you should put serious thought into. I've had the conversation with family members and it's important to weigh the pros and cons of how this could affect you and your loved ones.
