The year '1792' marks a very historic date for the state of Kentucky. It is the year they received statehood, and let me tell you, they know how to celebrate. 1792 Ridgemont Reserve takes smooth to an all new level. The guys from the Desert Flyer Band sampled this magnificent beverage at last night's rehearsal, and have shared their notes here.

The Barton 1792 Distillery has not been making the Ridgemont Reserve since that year. As a matter of fact, it would be almost another century before they were established on the historic site of the Tom Moore Spring in 1879. To this day, they still draw their iron-free limestone water from the very same spring.

Each bottle of 1792 Ridgemont Reserve is aged eight years in a charred oak barrel. The result, a 93.7 proof delight with an initial bite which rapidly dissipates to a delicious oak finish.

Trust me, this is some outstanding bourbon! Very smooth for its proof. I'm sure it's pricey...but it sure is good! I give it 5 out of 5 Dancing Bananas." - Greg Achord  Vocals / Lead Guitar

"Pour it, let is stand for a minute, drink it neat or watered, yum! One of my new favorites. I'll give it 4 Erect Bananas." - Bob Sours  Vocals / Rhythm Guitar

"Rarely does one find a bourbon with such a confident bite, and yet such a smooth oak finish. Nothing short of perfection. Avoid the temptation to add a splash of water. Drink it neat. It doesn't get any better than this. A solid 4 1/2 out of 5 Dancing Bananas" - Waylon Jordan  Bass

"Still a lot better than that Maple crap we had a few months ago. I give it 4 out of 5 Dancing Bananas." - Max McFarland  Drums
