Colorado's Operation Game Thief program has upped the reward from $5,000 to $15,000 in a case involving the shooting deaths of two mountain goats near the summit of Quandary Peak, just south of Breckenridge.

According to the Vail Daily, two male goats, between one and two years old, were shot in the head with a pistol sometime on July 3.

A felony poaching conviction alone would result in jail time and fines exceeding $20,000 per animal.
