Things you will miss if you move out.

If you are thinking about moving away from Colorado. First, check out this list.

Not being from here, I'm not sure how accurate this list is. To be honest there were 7 to 9 of these that can easily apply to many other states, including my home state of Wisconsin. So, what are the people at Matador.com missing?

I did find a few that do ring true for Colorado and even the Grand Junction area.

  • There is a vast difference in the produce grown here. The Peublo chiles, Olathe corn, Palisade peaches, etc. It is pretty darn good.

  • Driving through mountain towns. Even though I can not afford to live in one, it's quite a drive through Aspen, Vail, Beaver Creek and others. We don't have that in Wisconsin.

  • Wildlife options. I'm used to just white-tail deer and an occasion bear. But here, many more species to appreciate.

  • The choice of vehicles. Subarus and Outbacks seem to dominate. Nothing against them at all. Just a lot of them.

Maybe time to create our own list. I am not sure the author of this article truly captured Colorado. For sure didn't embrace the Grand Junction area and Western Slope.
